Link Party #46

Ok I am late for a very important date! Our link party! My family all came into town (well not all of them but most of them) And so I was a little distracted and suddenly realized the day is over and the post that should have been scheduled never went up. What a slacker geez. I am so excited to see what you all are working on, and have been for the past month and half that we have been on link party break. So here is how link parties will work now. They will be once a month (last day of the month as is seems) They will be open for the whole month and periodically through the month I will share the favorites from link party as well as some favorites at the start of the link party so there are plenty of chances to show off all the amazing projects you guys are working on. I love the sense of "community" it brings to this here Shwin&Shwin. So let's get the party Started!

New to link parties? That's totally fine here's what you have to do:

Find a entry on your blog that you want to link up.
It can be ANYTHING (unless it's an ad or something let's keep it spam free)
Say it is a great new project you just made and have been dying to share it with the crafting world.
the link should look something like this:
http://(your blog adress/website)/(the post you want to link).html
Linking to the post is the easiest way for people to get back to that post.

Then click where it says "click here to enter"
follow the steps to link your post and create a title, and select your picture.
Keep in mind the picture will be small thumbnail so pick a picture that shows it off the best.

Lastly if you were so kind to add our button to your page or post, or where every you store your link party things that would be super cool. You don't have to use the button to link up, it's just there for you if you can't live without it.

cool? cool. Let's get the party started!

Link Party #45

This week's link party is here! Also known as my favorite time of the week! You guys are busy creating fun stuff that is adding to my already out of control to-do list... but it's amazing! Here are my favorites from last week...

Frances Suzanne shared their version of the Lizzy Dress Pattern, when they were testers for me. I absolutely love what these girls produce and their Lizzy is just darling and classic. Love it!

A little Gray who has some seriously mad quilting skills shared these place mats (and the free pattern :) I so love them, I wish I had the time to whip them up right now (and the skill of course) Maybe my kids will grinch mats for a Christmas in July :)

Untrendy Life shared this baby swaddler. I may just have to put this at the top of the list... it's awesome, and I love it.

So let's see what you have been up to this week!

I love taking a little down time. So are you ready for this weeks link party? Last week was fantastic as usual, here are some of my favorites:

Little Pretty Things shared her Sugarplum dress (one of see kate sews newest patterns) I love the mustard and the buffalo check. I have some buffalo check sitting in my stash that has been begging to be used... it may be time :)

Imagine Gnats shared yet another fantastic quilted stocking. She shared one last week as well, my mom made some stockings right away from the tutorial and then she called me and was sad I didn't share it last week, I agree they are awesome and should be shared.
I'm Feelin Crafty shared these mini quilt magnents, which are think are the perfect little gift for any quilter, or sewing lover on your list. So cute.

So let's see what you have been up to this week!

Link Party #43

Welcome to this weeks Link Party! Are those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving all ready for Thanksgiving? We have ours tomorrow, since we figured out a few years ago Thanksgiving on Wednesday is way better than Thursday, and some of our family members have to accommodate both sides of the family so this left Thursday to them while we stay home as a family snuggled in our home eating left overs. It's a good deal. So there won't be a post tomorrow as I cook away in the kitchen all day, but be sure to come here Friday for some deals you won't want to miss... I am talking super pattern sales, new patterns, and giveaways. It's going to be good!

Now on to my favorites from last weeks party:

Skirt as top shared a tutorial for the fold over doily clutch. One, it's amazing, two she is amazing, and three I just love this, I will be making one as a diaper clutch...
Eat Sleep Make, Made this cool leather feather necklace. I absolutely love it and since my Shwin counterpart has all the jewelry making talent... I hope she makes me one :)

Sew Very (who I met in real life and is simply lovely) shared the Lovely Rita's she made. Awesome, they are one of my favorite pants :)
*and as a little note the pattern will soon be re-released going all the way up to size 10! woo hoo!*

So let's see what you have been up to this week!

Link Party #42

Welcome to this weeks link party! That wonderful time of the week that you share all the greatness you have been working on and I can feel guilty about all the things I am not getting done... Ok just kidding, but friends I am loosing steam...I have currently 4 projects cut out, fabric for 5 others sitting there starring at me and 3 projects crying in the corner because they are done and wanting to be shared but I have to write the tutorial for and well I have a severe lack of motivation. 4 weeks folks... 4 weeks and I am done cooking this baby, which is both pressure to finish things before that day arrives, and hoping and praying that I find my old energy again after this energy sucker exists my body... (yeah right) So my rant is over, hopefully some great projects will come your way, along with the Holiday gift guide! Yep it's that time and Thanksgiving recipes! Are you cooking this year? Me too! (maybe it will induce labor ha!)

Here are my favorites from last week's link party:

Sew Country Chick shared too much cuteness for one computer screen. Well that's what I would call it, she called it a little fox and a little smock. Both too cute for words... and that headband too... so cute!

Cath Grace shared this coat she made for her daughter. I love everything about it, the fabric, the color, the design and look at those super cute fox pockets! Ah, it's love!
Not to leave out the boys in our life. The Land of K.A. has been rocking out some boy looks lately, I love the details she adds some rocking details, check out the leather detailing...

So let's see what you have been up to this week!

Welcome to this weeks link party! Can I just tell you all how much I love Link Party Tuesdays! You are all so crafty and creative and just plan skilled, it is so fun to share in this little community with you. So here are a few of my favorites from last week:

The adorable, Alida of Alida Makes shared this cardi refashion. Super cute, and I am starting to regret some cardi cast offs I got rid of.
Mend and Make new shared this hexi quilt. Amazing piece work. I am not sure I could ever take on such a challenge but I am so in love with those darling hexagons.

Last but certainly not least, Rachel from Imagine Gnats made the loveliest maggie mae, I mean look how she lined up those prints? Yep she is super awesome, which I know first hand since we met at girls night out.

Welcome to this weeks link party! Last week? Man you guys are killing me with awesomeness! It was hard to choose favorites there were so many amazing projects. I did some how narrow it down to the three... but it was rough.

Simple Simon & Company shared this lacy back top. Um, are you kidding me? I love this, I would wear it and flash dance... well maybe not in my current extra round state but still I would want to. Abbey would flash dance right along with me.
Craftstorming shared the cutest little boy jacket. I love the elephants the contrast print, and the buttons.

I'm feelin' crafty shared this boy upcycle. So hip and chic. I love it!

Buzz Mills shared her KCWC projects including adding a color block to the bottom of this tunic to make it longer and get more wear from it.

Straight Grain shared these origami sleeves. Stunning, and beautiful and being added to my must sew list.

Link Party #37

It's Link Party time! In honor of KCWC I thought I would share my favorite kids link ups from last week. Here are a few of my favorites:

Jane Marie Blog shared this sweet halloween costume! How amazing is that? I love it and how simple it would be to make.
Nest full of eggs, is amazing. There I could stop there just look at this dress. She made it from a white sheet. A white sheet! It is stunning, and beautiful and photographed at one of my favorite places ever! (oh how I miss the midwest)
Snippets of my family, faith and crafting shared a sweatshirt transformation. I love a good re-do project and this may have just inspired me to actually tackle the mountain of clothing sitting in my "to-be-redone" pile... maybe

Link Party #36

Welcome to this weeks link party!
You guys are killing me with how amazing all of the things you are making are. Seriously amazing stuff it is the best part of my week! So on to this weeks link party, here are some of my favorites from last week:

The always amazing Skirt as Top shared another installment of film petit. I die, look at these amazing outfits from the Fantastic Mr. Fox. Seriously the pictures are fantastic and the outfits are stunning, she spared no detail.

Lincoln Street Blog shared these darling halloween pillows. I am not one for halloween decor, I always feel like it looks cheap or creepy, I lean more towards the fall decor, but these pillows? I love them they don't look cheap or creepy and since they are just a cover you could switch them out for different holidays... Love!
Nest full of eggs is always sewing up the most beautiful things I have ever seen. This woman has mad skills! Just check out this Faux Mink Pullover. I love everything about it, it is perfection.

I am so excited to see what you have in store this week!
