Whimsy Couture contacted me a little while back asking me if I would like to review one of their patterns. Naturally I said YES! I was checking out their patterns and while drooling over so many of them. I decided to go with the easy peasant dress/top. I am a sucker for simple and so there is nothing better than an easy peasant top.
The dress was just that. EASY! The whole thing whipped together in about 2 hours. Which is perfect. I have made peasant dresses in the past but only by figuring out all the cuts and measurements each time, this pattern was so quick and so easy and now I have a go to pattern for sizes newborn to size 12! (so awesome) They make it soooo easy! The directions are quick and easy to follow and they share tons of ways to make your peasant dress (or top) unique.
Which is honestly the most fun! I used some plain white cotton that I painted with some fabric paint. It was a fun little design inspired by spring that makes the top unique for Abbey. I also added a little ribbon at the neck for an extra pop of color.
I liked the elastic bodice, only thing I "changed" is that I didn't have elastic thread on hand so I just made a casing for some elastic at the waist. Super easy still and the same great result.
I just love everything about this pattern and Abbey loves having another care free summer dress to run around in.
